       Frequently asked Questions

What inspired you to write The 23rd Promise?

The 23rd Promise was not written from a place of having all the answers. It was written from walking through seasons that tested my faith, my endurance, and my understanding of surrender. Psalm 23 became deeply personal to me during those years. I realized the valley was not simply something to survive, but a place where God was still guiding, restoring, and shaping me. Writing this book became an act of obedience and healing, and my hope is that readers will find comfort knowing they are not alone in their own unfinished journey.

Is this book only for Christian readers?

Not at all. While my faith and Scripture are deeply woven throughout this book, The 23rd Promise was written for anyone who has ever struggled, questioned, felt broken, angry, lost, or alone. It is for people who have walked through grief, depression, unanswered prayers, fear, near-death experiences, or seasons where life simply did not make sense.

Whether someone has known God their entire life, is newly finding faith, or is still searching for answers, my hope is that this book meets them with honesty, compassion, and the reminder that even in the valley, they are not abandoned.

Why does Psalm 23 play such a central role in your writing?

There has never been a time in my life that Psalm 23 was not present in some way. It was one of the Scriptures that first led me deeper into God’s presence and into His Word. Over time, the number 23 itself began carrying deep personal meaning throughout my life. My son was born on April 23rd, my daughter on February 3rd, and somehow the number has continued appearing through many important moments and seasons.

Especially during times when I felt uncertain, lost, or was struggling with difficult decisions, the number 23 would unexpectedly appear as a quiet reminder that I was not alone and that God was still guiding me forward. For me, it has always pointed back to Psalm 23

What can readers expect from the trilogy?

The trilogy follows a deeply personal spiritual journey through seasons of survival, restoration, vigilance, and ultimately learning how to stand without fear. Each book carries its own season and emotional weight, but together they reflect the process of being shaped through hardship rather than destroyed by it.

Readers can expect honesty, vulnerability, Scripture, and reflections rooted in real-life struggles that many people quietly carry; grief, unanswered prayers, surrender, spiritual warfare, healing, endurance, and learning to trust God even when the path forward feels uncertain.

This is not a trilogy built around perfection or easy answers. It is about walking through the valley, guarding what God restores, and eventually understanding that fear no longer has authority over the life God rebuilt. My hope is that readers not only see pieces of their own journey within these pages, but also leave feeling strengthened, understood, and reminded that restoration is still possible.

Do you consider yourself naturally vulnerable as a writer?

Not at all. Writing this book required me to become honest in places I would have normally stayed silent. Some chapters were difficult to revisit because they came from seasons that reshaped me spiritually and personally.

Was there a moment you almost stopped writing the book??

Yes. There were moments where I questioned whether certain experiences were too personal to share. But I kept feeling that someone else walking through their own valley might need to know they are not alone in it.

What does restoration mean to you now?

I used to think restoration meant returning to who you were before hardship. Now I believe restoration is becoming someone steadier, wiser, and more anchored in faith because of what you survived.

What kind of readers usually connect most deeply with your writing?

Usually readers who have endured quiet battles, long seasons of uncertainty, grief, surrender, or rebuilding. Many tell me they see pieces of their own journey reflected within the pages.
